About Us

We build the anchor so you can chase the horizon.

YUCA started the way most good things do — with a frustration and a long way from home.

Two founders. A filmmaker from Argentina and a surfer from California. We met on a mountain in Japan, discovered we'd been traveling separately for years with the same problem: the gear didn't match the life. Too branded. Too bulky. Built for the mountain or the Instagram shot — not the in-between life of someone who surfs, travels, works remotely, and moves between all of it.

So we built what we actually wanted to carry.

The name comes from the yuca root — a plant that grows in harsh conditions, adapts to any soil, and survives where most things can't. That's the idea at the center of everything we make: stay rooted in who you are, even as the road keeps changing.

Every cap, hoodie, and waist pack is designed for the person who lives between contexts. The weekend warrior. The digital nomad. The one who surfs before work and has a one-way ticket half-planned in their Notes app. Gear that shows up in your photos not because you staged it — but because it was just there.

We're not building a collection. We're building a kit.

Stop thinking about gear. Start thinking about where you're going.
